I'll second that. P.O. Cust. Care lines were quick - helpful and most importantly - accurate in diagnosing and advice. And being North Ireland I only had to ask what they said twice on two occasions. Great going eh? :-)

Fuuny, I`m getting the same problem but they`ve not said I have faulty equipment - they may have said it, but I can`t understand them at the best of times.
It`s the lack of email response from BT that is very annoying. Up untill the end of November 2008 I`ve been having good service from BTYAHOO. But unfortunately it is now just awfull. No problems at the exchange, that is all green for go when I do an online check.
Last night I gave up trying to download some printer software, the size of the download was about ˝MB but it was going to take 1 hour and 45 minutes to download - that`s dialup speed and I`m on Total Broadband.

The world of computing can be frustrating at times and send you completely bonkers. When that happens I switch it all off and escape to the pub to chill out - it works

Dear arkr09, I have at last had a bt engineer to look at my line that was running at half a meg he got it up to 1.8meg he also gave me a socket to plug into my first bt socket. This new plug in socket has two outlets 1 for the phone and one to go directly to the router,(it does make sense). Dont take any stick from bt (india) I told them if thay would not do the job I would fix the lines myself , unfortunately you have to shout at them, sad as it is.

Hi, I wonder if anyone could help me please?
Look -I am sorry and have to admit to not being very advanced /computer literate- can do some stuff but the technical probs I cannot deal with and have had two 'supposed PC wiazards-paid out -no further fwd' hence my difficulties.I cancelled my Tiscali too expensive and moved to Sky as we have Sky Tv etc. My connection for Broadband is SO slow it is pitiful.I did a check and it is Download 0.24 Mbps and Upload 0.29Mbps. Is there anything that I can do please( apart from moving house-I live in a large

residential area Cardiff) to speed up my connection.
Many thanks.
Can someone PLEASE HELP!!
Thankyou
Pam
