Angry Good old BT

The past couple of month my connection speed as been dropping from 5.9 Mbps to 0.95 for downloading, the upload doesnt seem to change much. This normally happens after 4pm and can last till well after midnight, I know that speeds will drop around these times but by that much. Have contacted BT about this but they say theres no problem. Yesterday they called me about this problem and ran there speed test and told me that my line was 7.5 Mbps and i was getting a speed of 4.4 Mbps. I think this is great as my line is only 6 Mbps, as confirmed by BT if you run there line checker to see what the connection speed for your line is. As i was talking to BT i ran the speed checker from this site a was getting a connection speed of 1.2 Mbps, but they will not except this.
Does the BT speed test actually do anything as i run it with 2 computers connected at the same time, with one downloading a large graphic file ( which i thought would make a difference to the download speed). The result was the same as one computer doing nothing.
