Yes I have been a BT customer now for a few months(The worst few months ever!)
I am classed as a high user and as such chose to go for the most expensive package they have option3 UNLIMITED! They tried charging me £107 pounds to become a customer which was hilarious..lmao Then they tried to rape my wifes bank account of £76..one disaster after another.
I went and bought myself a top of the range tower for my Birthday pressie..lol.Every thing on it quad core processor 8 gb of ram 2 8800gtx graphics cards.ect.ect was trying to download the drivers for it and found that it took me 27 minutes to download a 57mb file!
I rang them and got someone who could not speak english when I tried to explain my postcode phonetically When I got to the letter F foxtrot The guy put the phone down on me and I got a call back telling me that swearing at their staff would not be tolerated!!..lol
Then they proceeded to tell me that I was using too much bandwidth and that they were throttling me back to 512kbps at most of the time after 4pm! When I explained that my son uses xbox 360 live they told me that, that went towards my download LIMIT( I thought I was paying for unlimited broadband)When I asked them AT WHAT POINT DO YOU CONSIDER ME TO BE A HEAVY USER? they replied that they couldnot give me a actual amout my reply was well how am I supposed to control my download limit if you don`t tell me how much I can use without being throttled? Their answer was this!!..pmsl
We do not stop you from using you broadband we have to slow the speed of your line down in order to ensure you do not interupt otherpeoples usage of the internet!
My Answer was this wait a minit why am I paying for MY line rental? WHY AM I PAYING FOR UNLIMITED DOWNLOADS? They said that they were not limiting my downloads!
I said this!well if i download constantly at 4.5 meg (usual download speed) for example.ok?" yes!" and now I download constantly at 512 kbps I will not be able to download half as much there for you are resricting me.Their reply!.."no we are not!"go figure!
